Solid Waste Facilities

As the leading firm in the regulation of solid waste transfer stations, Sullivan Gardner successfully led the long approval process of the only solid waste transfer station licensing across the street from a park. The firm was able to obtain another transfer station license in six months, the fastest approval time of which it is aware in New York City. Currently, the firm has been retained as counsel to handle the permitting of what will be the largest private rail and water served putrescible and non-putrescible transfer station complex in New York City. The facility is to be located on one of the largest contaminated sites in NYC. The firm leads the legal, environmental and strategic teams in the arduous and complex approval process encompassing all of the NYS and NYC land use and environmental agencies.
