The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) recognizes the importance of private sector partners in providing housing and human services to over 688,000 New Yorkers. To support operations, NYCHA purchases over $700 million dollars annually of goods and services from suppliers, contractors and consultants. NYCHA’s operations include the maintenance and preservation of nearly 182,000 apartments in 2,698 residential buildings and over 500 community facilities and the upkeep of 2,100 acres of lawns, trees and shrubs on housing development grounds.
